UNC Charlotte Student Health (SH) provides primary medical care, disease prevention, health education, wellness promotion, and various specialty services to all registered UNC Charlotte students, regardless of the type of health insurance they carry.
Student Health is a part of the campus team that coordinates responses to infectious disease outbreaks and is the university's liaison to the Mecklenburg County Health Department. We provide the campus with important public health services.

The Notice of Privacy Practices describes how medical information about a patient may be used and disclosed and how to get access to that information. Student Health is accredited by The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, also known as AAAHC. Formed in 1979, it is a leader in ambulatory (out-patient) health care accreditation. Its high standards require the Student Health Center to maintain excellent quality of patient care. AAAHC currently accredits over 4,000 health care organizations including the majority of college health centers that are accredited.
The Student Health laboratory is accredited by COLA, the premier clinical laboratory education, consultation, and accreditation organization. COLA accreditation enables clinical laboratories to meet CLIA and other regulatory requirements.
